Welcome to D’LISH

Let me begin by saying that this has been a long time coming! D’Lish has been in the works for quite some time now as I was looking to it as an extension of DiningOut, our fine dining and specialty magazine that reaches more than 250,000 readers in Orange County & Long Beach. Well, I finally got the wheels in motion this year when, I am pleased to announce, DiningOut reached another milestone when it was picked up locally by Barnes and Noble, Wild Oats, Whole Foods, Borders and many local bookstores in Orange County & Long Beach. Our reader base began growing exponentially with every new issue, one reason being the sheer fact that all of the restaurants we are honored to have a relationship with are proud to carry the magazine (a nice plus), and I had no option but to give our restaurants and readers, in general, more than three issues annually. D’Lish was also created to eventually serve a greater purpose – one to give back to the community in some way and encourage others to do so as well. This year, we made it our mission to increase our involvement in local and regional culinary events in both counties and D’Lish will, no doubt, help us with our efforts. In my experience, both professional and personal, I have found that there are no guarantees, but one thing is certain: we are all blessed with strengths and talents, and it is up to us to focus some of what we have in abundance to help those who are in need. I welcome you to contact me directly with any thoughts or ideas on how we can help you in any efforts, and, as expected, I will keep you informed of the many ways you can be involved in our community in every issue. This is only the beginning! Have a D’Lish-ous day (I couldn’t resist adding that one), Kristin Mehiel
